The huge amount of pressure on young girls to let their boyfriends get away with everything and not to stand up for themselves, lest they stop being a ‘chill girlfriend’ and instead become a horrible, controlling harpy is such bullshit.

Stop teaching young girls that demanding to be treated with respect and courtesy makes them shrill, over-emotional, or unworthy of listening to.

May you have enough money to pay your bills this month with a little extra left over for a bit of fun.

This is one of the nicest things to wish for someone

When I’m hurt, I shut down. I turn into a total sarcastic bitch. I shut off my emotions, and act indifferent towards everything even though it might be killing me inside.

hippopotamus-hi-tops:

things your friends will say if you’ve made a good pun:

  • get out
  • fuck you
  • shut the fuck up
  • oh my god why
  • you need to stop
  • you’re not funny
  • that was terrible

The Countess of Wessex has made quiet the impression on a lot of Canadians, in particular the people of the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation in Ontario.
The Countess last week visited the remote area in Ontario for two days where she met with members of the community and spoke about “reconciliation.” She made quite the impression on the people of the community; she was also joined by the Premiere of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne. The Countess of Wessex also visited Nipissing University where she spoke about Aboriginal Education. Unfortunately, I am not able to find the full speech but you can see quotes by the Countess at the source.

Really good on her for part-taking in this, the treatment of Aboriginal people in Canada is disgusting

Off-screen, Leech and co-star Matthew Goode bonded plenty. “He attempted to explain the machine that Alan Turing built almost every day to me, and he failed miserably every time,” Leech says. “We also did crossword puzzles together all the time.”

Allen Leech in InStyle’s TIFF portrait studio. X

That picture alone would have killed me but that story too?! I can’t.
